Fitness and Exercise

Lifestyle ManagementOne of the biggest problems we face today is lack of activity. We know it’s good for us, but somehow we manage to avoid it for some reason or another. Exercise doesn’t have to be vigorous, movement is movement and the more you do, the healthier you’ll be. Even moderate activities like gardening, household chores or walking can make a difference.

A comprehensive fitness game plan is more than just losing weight, it includes matching your goals with timeline oriented objectives and strategies designed to identify/correct weaknesses to improve functional movements, performance, structural mechanics and aesthetics, to improve body image and to measure your progress.

A comprehensive fitness game plan should include:

  • Identification of muscular imbalances
  • A corrective exercise phase to correct muscular imbalances
  • A flexibility program
  • A training strategy that first builds a stabilized foundation
  • A training program that is integrated
  • A matching phased nutritional strategy
  • Muscular adaptation phased training

A comprehensive fitness game plan should also be:

  • Time efficient
  • Structurally effective
  • Measurable, flexible and adaptable
  • Educational and enjoyable

The fitness game plan was developed for three reasons:

  1. To illustrate how an overall fitness game plan is accomplished through structured exercise planning and nutritional choices (lifestyle changes).
  2. To provide an understanding of the contributions of proper nutrition in combination with appropriate exercise performance and programming.
  3. To generate a comprehensive fitness history containing desired goals and the exercise programs completed to attain those goals.
